John McCain bailed out on David Letterman

John McCain cancelled his appearance on David Letterman 2 days ago - September 24, 2008. McCain told Letterman that he was suspending his cmpaign because he had to fly to Washington DC to help with the economy bailout (the $700 billion the White House wants to pay out to save Wall Street and the banks). So Keith Olbermann stepped in at the last minute. David Letterman was pissed to say the least.

To make things worse during the Letterman show it was discovered that McCain was not in Washington DC that night. He was in Los Angeles talking to Katie Couric on CBS.
